Message from the Mayor of Ponta Delgada

The Municipality of Ponta Delgada is happy to be the only portuguese city that will host one of the competitions included in the FIG Aerobic Gymnastic World Series. This is a unique and very important sports activity, restricted to senior international elite gymnasts.

Once more the biggest Azorean city is on the international map of one hosting one of the world greatest events in Aerobic Gymnastics. The realization of this event in our city proves that Ponta Delgada has a lot to offer, and all the conditions to be a wide world open city.

This is an event that we are proud of, and it makes the Azores and our Country also very honoured.

That is why Ponta Delgada greets all the organization, coaches, teams and all participants; to all those gymnasts who are already winners by nature, Ponta Delgada wishes them an excellent competition and stay.
